What is SensoryReady?
SensoryReady is a free certification program training Triangle-area businesses to create sensory-friendly environments for autistic families and families with sensory differences.
Autistic Children — Kids who experience sensory overload in everyday environments can feel much more welcomed with SensoryReady training.
Families — Family members who've spent years feeling frustrated because their child was not able to experience everyday environments due to a lack of recognition
Local Businesses — Triangle-area businesses that want to serve every family in their area, not purely out of profit, but rather serving their community for the better.
Who We Serve
Train — One hour of staff training on sensory awareness and practical accommodations.
Certify — Businesses are evaluated against a four-category checklist developed with clinical input.
Sensory Hours — Certified businesses commit to designated weekly hours where all accommodations are actively in place.
